I didn’t know if I was excited for this album or not I just decided it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be going into it and I was not dissapointed (even though I had no expectations)...

This album mixes the pop appeal of GINGER, the south grit and bounce of SATURATION II, and the pitched up vocal style of SATURATION 1. While this album does not have a specific sound it does return and add to the sounds we’ve loved from BROCKHAMPTON so far.
This album, however, is anything but predictable. There isn’t particular sections of this album where it’s “oh we’re in the pop section” or “oh we’re in the hardcore section.” While everything flows really well, hardcore tracks are next to pop and personal tracks...
...making the album exciting and varied. A new addition on this album to the BROCKHAMPTON sound is this guitar heavy, Alt-Rock style. It reminds me of a perfected and reinvented sound of the song DEARLY DEPARTED.
The only tracks I really disliked were BANKROLL because the verses are really sloppy in their effects and the hi-hats were way too high for me. OLD NEWS felt like a really weak attempt at their Pop-RnB style, extremely forgettable outside of JOBA who gives a good performance.
JOBA and Kevin had the most verses on this album and delivered the most personal content which made for the most disheartening tracks like WHAT’S THE OCCASION and THE LIGHT PT. 1 & 2.
Not much to complain about. Flows really well, great songs, a lot of variety, and sorrowful verses. BROCKHAMPTON hasn’t hit this hard for me since I was introduced to them and it reminds me why I fell in love with their music in the first place
