It occurs to me that Arteta must be living in one hell of a bubble right now. He definitely isn’t hearing feedback from ownership and his “boss” edu certainly isn’t pushing back. There are no fans in the stands to “feedback.” Who is providing him with another perspective?

That’s a dangerous thing for a coach I think. Because you can fall in love with your own ideas and have no real feedback channel to challenge your views. More involved executives might help. But 60,000 fans making their feelings known might actually help a coach reconsider things

Ultimately it’s a weird little hermetically sealed environment where ideas can take root unopposed. That’s fine when the ideas are all good but everyone has bad ideas too. And usually those get challenged when they’re out in the open. (I’ve experienced this first hand )
