With everyone attacking pitch design goals early in the season, I think it is important to highlight something we have implemented @TreadAthletics ( @k_camden coding this). It seems as if the baseball world marvels at the latest and greatest pitch in the game; Chaz Roe's sweeper,
Devin Williams' screwball like CH, Bauer's 4S, Glasnow's CB. Every season these objectives seem unattainable and non applicable as release parameters are easily distorted (dropping on CH, hiking on CB, etc.) Furthermore, we've been able to develop arsenal/pitch comp generators to
provide more valuable insight to pitch design recommendations (using release & ball flight data). Utilizing an arsenal comp can provide insight to add/remove a pitch, where to take secondary pitches (also valuing spin/movement mirroring) that provides extreme clarity.
