Hello, ty for patience & care w/ support of the critique of #AgainstAbleism. For me please understand that this conversation is not new. It's been grueling for many. This is one public example. I'm concerned w/ just individual ppl but patterns, #Poetry's erasure of movement.
I feel this call asks larger industry & writers w/ clout-- what does it mean to address systemic invisibility & inaccessibility in #Poetry, writing, & arts. The language illuminated a longtime disconnect of identity & community. Which poetry frequently monetizes.
Lastly, I notice ppl are asking why letter doesn't spell out *how* publishers & editors can change. This demonstrates the prob in 1st place. It's punching down. This is labor. This frequent ask to teach *for free *only makes onus on & exacerbates #Disabled, Sick, Mad isolation.
