I am deeply worried about the recent “remote learning is here to stay” trend.

I believe my school had been able to put together one of the most robust and effective remote plans l around, and we are still missing *so* many kids. We have pushed out hundreds of devices, got
WiFi in every home, provide constant tech support, simplified scheduling, and leveraged our community school partnerships into an incredible amount of extra-curricular and after school options and we are still struggling to get to around 1/3 of our kids. And that is only in
regards to academics. The effect on mental health is likely far greater than we’ve quantified.

Remote school has major, major limitations and I quite firmly believe it shouldn’t be a part of any new normal going forward
