1. As many of you know, I started college classes last fall at University of Kentucky as a student in their pre-law program. Since then, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in all of my classes and have found new purpose in life through higher education.
2. I have built numerous relationships with the faculty and am thoroughly invested in this program.
While I have lived in Kentucky for over a year, I do not qualify for in-state tuition. I did not anticipate this. In order to qualify I must furnish a Kentucky state ID.

3. However, when I presented my personal documents to attain one, I was informed that the birth certificate I had was fake. Due to the abusive nature of my relationship with my family, I have yet to obtain a real one. We are working on tracking down a legitimate copy,
4. but in the meantime I have an unexpected $20,000 to pay to the University of Kentucky if I am to continue my education there this summer and beyond.
I have worked full-time most of my life, since 14, and am used to being able to provide for myself.

5. However, my doctor has not yet cleared me for work and I do not have any family support or the ability to secure any educational loans without a co-signer.
I am currently working with a small non-profit, Transitionary Traction, who has set up an education fund for me online.
