KGE taking the role of Joseon’s final court lady, Seol Hee, who witnesses the death of Empress Myeong Sung. Seol Hee is a strong character who gathers key information about Japan in order to actively support the independence movement.

The movie is based on hit musical 'Youngwoong 영웅', which was premiered in 2009 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ahn Jung Geun's (a Korean Patriot) death. It was staged at New York's Lincoln Center, New York in August 2011 as well.

The movie is helmed by Yoon Je Kyun (JK Youn), the director of blockbuster movies 'Haeundae' & 'Ode to My Father', both of which crossed the ten million viewers mark. He is dubbed by press as 'The 10 million admissions director'.
