gonna be honest, mcyt twitter is probably the worst place for minorities

first we’re told that when we try to hold a creator accountable that we’re “14 year old white girls”, and no minority is actually offended, when its the minority that IS offended.

and on top of that, people are so quick to dismiss harmful actions because “they’ve changed!” and are quick to accept an apology that is not meant for them.

its disappointing. the mcyt community is so quick to claim to support poc and black folk but the second it comes to supporting their content suddenly they’re nowhere to be found.

we are literally the last people to be listened to in a situation, the last people to be consoled when our favorite creators are turning out racist, or our fandom is turning out shitty. its always “im so sorry to everyone who liked ____...” instead of the people the streamer hurt

its shocking actually, the lack of diversity in popular creators in the mcyt community ESPECIALLY. its a really big shame, but the only way that can be fixed is going out and actually supporting these creators.
