Anyone who defends Dawson, and hold on to the only one episode where Pacey loses it while having a breakdown, as an excuse to talk shit on his character, here’s how many times Dawson publicly humiliated Joey:
At the school dance and at the junior prom, both times he yelled at her in public and at the prom, after that, he thought that was a good moment to kiss her, without her consent.
After he read her diary he harassed her at her workplace, and started a fight with her in front of the customers, with no regard of her, her job, her family, and the clientele whatsoever.
He made a big scene outside of his house while yelling at both her AND pacey in front of Andy and Will making their relationship public knowledge without their consent.
In s2 “sex she wrote” Dawson incessantly kept asking her intimate questions about wether or not her virginity was still intact in front of their classmates(both of them were to be fair)
At his 16th bday he got drunk and deliberately embarrassed the shit out of her in front of friends and family and then assaulted her. Again.
In conclusion, Pacey had a breakdown once, fairly justified, and after that, he acknowledged he was in the wrong and sincerely apologized and made it up to her.
