the world fucking sucks. it& #39;s absolute bullshit so when you complain about something not going viral but mcyt things trending you have to understand why those streamers are so important to people. those streamers are trending because of those issues.
a teen can sit there and read a very upsetting story about a huge issue going on and they are obviously going to be upset and want comfort, they turn to their comfort streamer. now, comfort streamers are something far more important than you seem to think.

imagine that stuffed animal or toy you had as a kid that you loved. imagine your family and your friends. imagine your s/o. that& #39;s what comfort streamers are to teens that might not have those things or might not get comfort from those.
comfort streamers might sound stupid to you but i have literally cried because my comfort streamer got canceled and i was considered a bad person for still liking them. to get an idea of some of the shit i see i saw this post on instagram
do you understand why im pissed about people giving ccs and their fans hate? and im not even done. this is just the tip of the iceberg, there& #39;s so much more to say.
these are teens. those toxic dream stans? kids. please take a moment to consider why fans in so many different communities might be super toxic. ive been in voltron, mha for a little, mcyt, marvel, dnp, pjo, and so many more, yet those people are constants.
answer: the cc/show doesnt fucking matter. those are kids who were taught from a young age that was okay or kids that do not have defined enough morals yet to understand what they& #39;re doing. shane dawson didn& #39;t have very toxic fans, there were always some but not any more than
usual. so it& #39;s clear that a toxic cc doesn& #39;t mean toxic fans and with dan and phil there were toxic fans but they weren& #39;t toxic ccs. so clearly it& #39;s not the ccs fault. so rather than blaming the cc find the person saying those things and explain it to them.
dont go after them. dont yell at them. try to help them understand what they& #39;re doing and WHY it& #39;s wrong. if they refuse to change their behavior then they have shitty morals to begin with and there& #39;s nothing you can do.
also a lot of those accs are trying to make that ccs fans look bad but y& #39;all aren& #39;t ready for that convo.
anyways going back to another important reason for comfort streamers that ties into toxic stans is issues at home/ childhood trauma/ etc.
(i am going to be discussing it in the terms of home issues because i don& #39;t want to say anything wrong or misinforming about childhood trauma. if anyone knows more about the subject and would like to address that aspect i& #39;d appreciate your input :) )
some people have bad home lives. whatever may be going on you have to understand that comfort streamers are ways to cope (with plenty of things but largely) home problems. whether it& #39;s fighting family members or abuse if these kids can find comfort in a funny mcyt then let them.
if kids with adhd, depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, trauma, disabilities, and a lot of other things ive seen can feel welcomed and represented in ccs and characters of the dream smp then who is anyone to say they shouldn& #39;t.
"[cc] is [ableist/homophobic/transphobic/racist] im unfollowing everyone that follows them" you say as if people you claim that offends aren& #39;t also fans that don& #39;t care. people say dream is homophobic and ableist, im gay and have adhd but i dont really care.
i& #39;ve been writing a whole essay on dream for the past fee months and i& #39;ve found nothing compelling enough to stop watching him, nothing that can& #39;t be easily disproved and im in some of those groups.
the point is that 1 you don& #39;t decide what offends that group, if you& #39;re in that group and it offends you, you don& #39;t speak for that whole group. 2 get better evidence and actually research before spreading hate and 3 hating on people that like that person does more harm than

next, STOP GIVING THE CC HATE FOR THEIR FANS. i shouldn& #39;t have to even say this but some of you guys are unable to understand that the cc cannot control their fans. almost like their fans have free will or something.
and STOP HATING THE WRONG CC, this one is really just: make it make sense. dont say dream fans were making nsfw of tommy, that doesn& #39;t make any sense. if art is made of sykkuno that doesn& #39;t mean it was made by a corpse fan??? that person can also like dream/corpse but that doesnt
mean they drew that as a corpse fan. i had a castiel pfp at one point on instagram but that doesn& #39;t mean i was a supernatural fan when i got into debates. in those debates i was a different aspect of myself. i can write this thread but be laying on a spiderman pillow doesn& #39;t make
me a marvel fan rn. i cant explain it well but i hope you understand what im trying to say. people tried to cancel schlatt for being friends with carson like, please dont blame the wrong cc because it& #39;s convenient. schlatt never supported carson& #39;s actions.
this is getting very long but i might add on or if you& #39;d like to bring something else up (for me to dispute, address, or you want me to mention just reply or dm me if you want. but yeah this is annoying and above all else just stop spreading hate over a fucking minecraft server.
