NEW: On Friday the New York Times reported that President Biden is creating a commission to explore adding seats to the Supreme Court. This is kind of a big deal!

The commission will contain 36 members and explore the history of the Court, the nominations process, and basically all the messy political business of the Supreme Court. After 180 days they will issue recommendations on possible reforms.
In other words, this is a slow and steady kind of process. Don’t expect major reform announcements until the fall. But! Expect the courts to stay in the news that entire time.
Progressives have been pushing the Biden administration to take action after conservatives successfully appointed over 200 Trump judges over the last four years. Those folks have those jobs for life!
