At this rate , if you arrange 100 medical students and ask them if they are still passionate about medicine

99 will tell you No, the last one that said yes is just lying so you won’t think he/she likes money over human lives

Lemme break it down in this short thread !
First of all, Every course in the university system has it own pros and cons and this is in no way invalidating the trauma of others courses in the university system.

This is strictly putting out some of the things medical students face while studying the course
Before you enter school, there is the zeal , passion and enthusiasm to study the medicine
No one will Probably tell you the incoming stress and sometimes depression that comes with it

Only for you to reach 200 level and you’ve already started loosing passion
Like bruhhh...you still have 300 to 600 to go and passion is gone from 200 level

The syllabus is voluminous, the stress and yet not enough time to cover before the exams

Asides the fear that keeps one awake to read, the consumption of Fearless energy drink helps most of us too
Or is it online classes
Imagine pre-covid when people still had physical lectures yet the medicine learning was so frustrating talk-less of online classes where many factors ca actually make the whole learning process futile 😪😪
Your only consolidation is after school there will be jobs readily available and This isn’t even the Situation anymore because what’s the difference between having no job or having a job and you work and still get owed for like 3 months plus

Asides that , another consolidation
is the fact that you can be able to write exams and leave to continue in saner climes
But then the financial implications of the exams or The fear that the government can one day decide to block that means

It just gets messy and seems like all the whole years would be a waste
Hopefully it just get better and not
This is not an educational advice or some sort of discouragement to study medicine if you have the intention.

This is just putting out some of the things you out to know so you could be mentally prepared unlike we that didn’t get to know.
