Yashoda Devi and her devotion towards Sri Maha Vishnu:
When Sri Krishna left Gokul, he was still a child. As he left with Balarama, it was not just the Gopikas that wept, it was all the men, the women, the children, the trees and river Yamuna that mourned. Sri Krishna +
would never return to Gokul again, much to the distress of Yashoda Devi who lamented the fact she wasn't able to further express her Mamakaram toward the lord. She greatly longed to be able to perform the marriage of the lord, who she loved deeply as her child. +
Thus, Sri Maha Vishnu granted her a boon that in Kaliyugam, she would gain the opportunity of performing her beloved son's marriage. Lot of time passed, and Kali yuga arrived. The Rishis performed a great yagna +
and it was decided upon the advice of Narada Muni that the Sage Bhirugu would decide which of the Trimurti would be given the offering of the Yagna. When he visited Brahma Deva and was unnoticed, the great Sage cursed that there would be no temples for him on earth +
(There are a few temples of Brahma Deva that still exist though. A very famous one is in Pushkar,Rajasthan). When sage Bhirugu went to Paramashiva, he was again ignored, so he cursed that the lord shall only be worshipped in the form of Shiva Lingam. Finally, when +
Sage Bhirugu visited Vaikuntham, Maha Vishnu was in meeting with his Consort Lakshmi Devi and was not noticed. In anger, Sage Bhirugu kicked Sri Maha Vishnu on his chest, while the lord profusely apologised by pressing the sages feet, Sri Lakshmi Devi was enraged +
as she resides in the chest of Maha Vishnu. She felt greatly angered, and despite Sage Bhirugu begging for her forgiveness, Devi left. In search for her, Sri Maha Vishnu also left Vaikuntam +
Unuccessful at finding her, he arrives at Seshachalam and begins to reside in an Ant Hill. Brahma and Shiva took the form of a cow and a calf to nourish him. They belonged to Akasha Raja. It was a mystery as to where all the cow's milk was going. The cowherd however, soon +
found out that the milk is being consumed by the ant hill. In great fury he was about to strike the cow with his staff, however, Sri Maha Vishnu interfered and got struck by the staff on his forehead and cried in pain instead +
Hearing his cry of pain, Vakulamma Devi came rushing to his aid and treated him as her son. She was none other then Yashoda Devi's reincarnation. With great affection she took care of Srinivasa. Eventually,Srinavasa would ask her to seek the alliance of Padmavati Devi, +
who was the daughter of Akasha Raja. As Yashoda Devi was unable to perform the marriage of her beloved son in this birth, the ever compassionate Lord had granted her desire. Inorder to ease her task, he disguised himself as a soothe-sayer and visited Akasha Raja the day +
prior and told him to accept the alliance that would come the following day. After the alliance is accepted, Lord Srinivasa would go on to take a loan from Lord Kubera for the purpose of the marriage as Vakula Devi has no money. Thus the Lord is called Vaddi Kasula Vada in +
Telugu due to this loan.

So great was the Vatsalya of Yashoda Devi, that she was blessed with the opportunity to fulfill her wish to perform the marriage of her Sri Krishna in the form of Srinivasa as Vakula Devi.+
(This is an abridged form that was told to me as a child, and have condensed further due to length. My intention was to emphasize on the motherly love Maa Yashoda Devi her sweet child Sri Krishna. Even now, Vakula Devi oversees the preperation of Prasadam through a window)
