Today Maryland reports 1840 new #COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours. This is the most since Jan. 30.

The rolling seven day average of daily cases up to 1,534. The highest since Feb. 3.
The rolling seven-day average of daily #covid19 cases is now:

• 18.7% higher than on April 2.

• 44.2% higher than on March 26

• Nearly double the average on March 9, when Gov. Larry Hogan announced an easing of most major restrictions except social distancing and masking.
. @GovLarryHogan has dismissed concerns in the last week that the announcements in March have driven up the number of cases and instead has stated that variants — the UK variant is dominant in the state — are driving #COVID19 cases
Positivity and new #COVID19 cases per capita are also up.

• Total hospitalizations, now at 1,249 are nearly 58% higher than one month ago. Today's report is the most since 2/10

• The number of acute patients (963) is the most since 2/23 and nearly 67% higher than on 3/9.
The 286 #COVID19 ICU patients are the most since 2/16. Today's number of ICU patients is 30% higher than what was reported on 3/9.
