During Wednesday’s Orange County Board of Education meeting, Leigh Dundas & the Barke’s orchestrated an anti-COVID vaccine political performance after they sent emails & text msgs to conservative parents claiming schools will be vaccinating kids without consent.

Due to President Dr Ken Williams joining the late, OCBE Trustee Mari Barke conducted the mtg. She invited her husband, Dr Jeff Barke, to lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. With the media in attendance Jeff put on an educational show, even rudely calling on Dr Mijares.

The first speaker brought up was Leigh Dundas, of course. But before she could start her manic rant OCBE Trustee Mari Barke insisted that they bring in more people to fill the seats and provide an adequate audience for the cameras.

More of Leigh Dundas’ rant before her teenage daughter was invited to give a comment (where she asked schools to be reopen, leaving out that she’s been homeschooled in Mexico since Jan), then her husband joined bringing in his laptop to display videos of vaccine side effects.

Dr Jeff Barke spoke and during his 3 minute comment he points out that OCDE’s Superintendent Dr. Al Mijares (an elected official) didn’t invite OCBE (which includes Jeff’s wife, Mari) to a zoom mtg with Dr Chau, OC Health Officer/Director to discuss covid. This is important.

OCBE and OCDE’s Superintendent Dr Mijares have a dysfunctional relationship that just recently cost taxpayers $3.2 million. OCBE has limited power, but are in desperate need for more. Which leads to the struggle and most likely this embarrassing show.

COVID response & updates was not on the agenda, which is why Dr Chau was not there. Info was purposely kept off social media bec Mari Barke & Leigh Dundas didn’t want comments that wouldn’t align with theirs & push the narrative that these people spoke for all of OC parents.

Before speakers were called inside they were prepped by Leigh Dundas, using a similar megaphone to the one she had at the Capitol on Jan 6th. She wanted them to call out Dr Chau & Dr Mijares by name & to know OCBE was not the enemy. Invited media stood off to the side & watched.
I absolutely hate giving these people any further attention but it needs to be addressed. Orange County continues to be dragged through national news because of the same group of extremists. Dr Chau was interviewed by @SpencerCustodio after the OCBE mtg and denied allegations made against him.
