Wait, people legitimately thought — okay, let us just, y'know, talk about this real fast.
No, DID systems probably aren't going to have the same experiences of non-DID systems (and that's to say nothing of systems who needed the diagnosis once and now don't, and vice versa).

BUT because many singlets don't get how psychiatry and psychology work in general, that means
that pretty much every plural under the sun is going to get affected by any sort of existing narrative (because they assume the only systems that can exist are traumagebic DID systems).

We hope we don't have to explain this one to those who are a little more informed.
Anyways, our next point is —

Even the people who ARE a little more informed can be heavily influenced by narrative.
When we were talking about how bad the killer alter trope was with the body's sister, you know what we got?

"Some systems actually DO have killer alters" — okay, so:

1. Nooo, really?! //s

To elaborate on that : but you don't call a struggling singlet a killer singlet. You
don't even call actual literal murderers who are singlets "killers" sometimes, although depending on the cause you might call them "criminals" (something that is also very loose and based on combinations of social and governmental values).

So, stop doing it to plurals.
2. "It needs to be acknowledged" it also doesn't need to be glorified, and the so-called acknowledgement y'all are using doesn't even come close to reflecting the reality of this, even if a shred of truth exists.
Like. Plurals also talk about this? Listen to them.

Smh, we're tired, but this thread was inspired by a tweet we saw in #PluralGang (not a bad take....just made by someone involved in a controversy or two....and it was probably a subtweet but wdk?) for anyone wondering where tf this came from.
