@LeBatardShow this David Samson is a real piece of shit huh? Bragged about the fact that he negotiated a deal in which Marlins Park would not be used as a hurricane shelter and his reasoning was “look at the superdome and hurricane Katrina”
then went on to suggest people don’t know what’s in the Georgia voter suppression bill by going as far as to say “the players had already said they weren’t gonna play without even reading the bill” then quietly suggested that moving the game was a knee jerk reaction.
All this combined with the fact that he openly admitted to voting for trump in 2016 and his reluctance to acknowledge the public funding for Marlins park illustrates a clear image of this mans morals, or lack there of.
Yes he knows what hes talking about business wise and his insight is valuable. And viewpoints I don’t agree with are valuable as well, but when those viewpoints represent a complete and total lack of empathy for humans, like the hurricane shelter stuff, something needs to be said
I’ll even walk the piece of shit comment back. I enjoy listening to David and greatly appreciate his candid honesty. It’s intriguing to have him give us a look behind the curtain of sports but at certain times my mouth is just agape at the brazen aloofness to morals in business
Being extremely clear, the thing that inspired this thread was the comments about not using Marlins park as a hurricane shelter. I’m not placing the entire phenomenon of lack of morals in business on him as if he’s the only one. That hurricane thing just didn’t sit right at all
