Siraj hitting the deck nicely and making use of the variable bounce. Jamieson going fuller with Lynn looking very uncertain. Great start for RCB.

Proactive move to bowl Chahal with Lynn looking to attack. 12 runs looked a combination of luck and a good shot, but reward finally reaped.

Again, nice move to sneak in an over of Jamieson. Less suited to this pitch so an easier over out of the way. Massive 6th over coming up, as is the case in any T20 match.

Credit to Lynn taking down the SLA. Dug himself into a bit of a hole by dotting up in the PP, but that over gets him back to where he needs to be.

Wheels coming off for Kohli after one counterattacking over from Lynn. Why would you bowl Harshal/DC instead of actual bowlers? As expected, utter trash from both bowlers.

Massive turn in that over for Chahal. Noted.

Good stuff from Jamieson. Exactly what his role will be in the rest of the tournament. Look for swing early and bounce out batsmen in the middle overs phase.

Super batting from Kishan. Adjust so well to Chahal’s natural wide line response. Chahal losing his line too often is a concern for RCB and other free and will be noting it.

Huge wicket ahead of the death overs. Hardik could’ve feasted on some of that. Would be a fair choice if RCB attacked Pollard with Jamieson now. Let’s see what they go with.

Good start to the death for RCB. Lot riding on Pollard in the final two overs. Pitch looks difficult when ball gets softer, cant hit sixes at will.

Unreal finish. MI usually get atleast 55-60 in this phase and looked likely against that set of bowlers. Soft ball seems tough to hit though, so it isn’t match-deciding by any means.

Sundar opening such a good move. Can maximize the fielding restrictions as well is his batting. Lengthens the order as well. Regardless of the outcome, it is a move worth applauding.

A run of spin in the middle overs coming up and RCB aren’t really matched up well against it. It’s the phase they were the worst in last season. Will be interesting to see whether they’ve thought about rectifying it.

Love how Maxwell is picking balls to hit so well. Puts the bowlers off line with that switch hit and cashes in on erratic bowling. Freak.

Will keep an eye on Bumrah’s usage through the tourney. This works in the first innings, but really felt he should’ve been brought back the over they bowled Jansen.

Jansen has to get stronger but there’s a lot of promise. That yorker is something he can keep nailing given his attributes. Combine it with either swing at the top or hard lengths - whichever route he chooses.

There’s a difference between bowling legbreaks and googlies to AB. You’ll see there’s a huge difference in both avg and SR. Really poor from Chahar, as much as I rate him.

Overall a 8/10 for RCB on the tactical front. Bowling Harshal/Christian in the middle overs probably their only mistakes. Got a lot of other things correct. Massive win.
