Death of Prince Philip has raised important questions for Canadians new & old. Like, why was the Queen's husband Prince and not King.

And, what will happen to this title when Scotland becomes a sovereign country? (Perhaps he'd be allowed to keep that — in return for the husband of Queen of Scotland to be called Duke of London perhaps? Though admittedly the Scots probably wouldn't want it in a million years!)

CORRECTION: An earlier tweet in this thread misspelled it as Duck of Edinburgh. It has since been rectified. However, we do note that if a U.S. president can say Prince of Whales and not even apologise, us poor immigrants should be allowed some latitude here. Error is regretted.
