1/6 The College of Surgeons and Physicians of Ontario has now issued a notice to doctors indicating that they recognize that doctors may not be able to provide care to some previously established standards due to the dire situation in hospitals due to COVID.
2/6 This is not something that had to be acknowledged at any point in this pandemic before this (in Ontario).
Things aren't going well.
Stay home ... but more importantly, stay safe. Avoid serious injuries.
Don't drink and drive... It's more important than ever.

3/6 Don't do high risk sports...

4/6 If you're taking chronic medications like heart medications, asthma medication, etc... this is not the time to miss them. You DON'T want do end up in the hospital for reasons that you could prevent.
5/6 Think about anything else in your life that puts you at risk of ending up in a hospital.
Are you able to avoid that for the next month or so?
Yes?
AVOID IT.

6/6 This is important not just because of COVID, but also because if you have a critical injury or illness ... You might not get the same healthcare you thought you would. The safety net is overwhelmed.
