Things that meme makers should avoid: Awarness thread
1. Mis-gendering
I highly despise people who makes meme about someone's gender It's disrespectful toward one. Judging and making meme/ funny posts because A male looks feminine or a female looks masculine and addressing them as transgender is straight up++
Disrespectful/ rude. I'm strongly calling out the "South Asian" memers who call bts 'girls' just because they don't have beards, it's absolutely hilarious. It falls on "Toxic masculinity" as well and mostly South Asian guys has this mindset. Beards don't make
Men, manners do. And I'm saying it again, Mis-gendering is NOT funny at all. Making those posts isn't cool either
2. Crying memes
Never use those pics or videos for meme that has a certain person genuinely crying. Recently I watched a video of quinlenn (I'm sorry if I spelt wrong) explaining her crying video. I rey felt bad for her emotions and feelings. You never know
What person is going through, stop making assumptions that everything in social media is funny or you can fun of it. Think before you do
3. Racist memes
Racism is one of the worst thing human being has ever did. Racism was always bad and will be for eternity. Making so-called "funny meme posts" can NOT be a joke. Racist jokes is STILL racist. I'm calling out the people who has done this+
Hopefully you'll educate yourself :) moving onto the last one of this thread.
4. Mental health
This is something that never should be made fun of. Creating "memes" of mental health can affect someone who is going through mental trauma. Mental health has equal importance has physical. You can have medicine to recover your sickness but
It's not same when it comes to your mental Health. Some people really made it look like it doesn't matter. So, hopefully People will stop making fun of mental health as well :)
Ending the thread with a message from me,
