Having spent a good bit of my graduate education studying the nitty-gritty of maladaptive communication (& what makes it so), I can only scroll through about 10-20 tweets at a time before I have to stop.
It’s not just the tweets of the folks I follow, but often it’s them liking or responding to unsophisticated & selfish manipulations of others’ sympathies.

Many of the tweets contain communications that the Twitterverse has already id’d as...
...humblebragging, subtweeting, mansplaining, etc., so I am caught off guard bc I keep assuming we’ve dealt with that ish and shouldn’t have to be subjected to it anymore.

Like, normally, I would have deleted this thread by now bc of all the communication offenses it contains..
But I’m trying to make a point so I’m pretending 1) I’m not responsible for it since I just said I normally wouldn’t post it, & 2) to justify it as a legitimate excuse for educating the masses.

If you hate me rn, good. This is why I can do Twitter for only 10-20 tweets a day.
