I’d have no problem with what Tuchel said if Werner/Havertz were in form. They’ve been underwhelming for 6 months with 6 goals between them, they are not playing well at all.

There’s a difference between us winning because of them and in spite of them, we are at the latter. Tammy being treated like garbage for obviously out of form attackers is hilariously bad from Tuchel. If they’re in form, sure play them every game. They aren’t and haven’t been.

In all fairness to our attacking players, we’re handicapped by not having the midfield duo to play expansively. We hardly get out of second gear because Jorginho/Kovacic are good at choking games out through sheer possession which is exactly what Werner/Havertz don’t thrive with.
