Group exercise interventions appear to offer similar outcomes to individually delivered treatment possibly at lower cost, but poor reporting makes it challenging to determine exact content of interventions in some studies. Do we need to fully supervise exercise programmes? Evidence suggests people with MSK pain can successfully engage in home based exercise. However evidence dominated by post-op rehab studies where intervention is closely prescribed, and recovery is usually linear.
