Artist Focus today puts the #iCons president Laycon in front of our lens. The 27-year-old rapper came to national recognition after winning the 5th season of reality show Big Brother Naija. Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe is a rising/promising act with an incredibly loyal following.
After winning the #BBN show, Laycon was made a youth ambassador for Ogun state by Governor Dapo Abiodun. Laycon also has a brilliant mind to go with his impressive MC skills, he graduated with a second class upper degree from Unilag in 2016 where he studied Philosophy.
He also recently bagged a collaboration deal with OPay to go along with his deal with Mentos. There seems to be no stopping @itsLaycon on his way to the top. His "Who is Laycon?" Ep was a brief introduction to the artist and we like what we hear.
The Ep had his first release "Fierce" featuring Reminisce and Chinko Ekun as one of its tunes. Laycon has featured on some monster releases too, dropping a remix verse on DJ Neptunes' Headies Song of the Year "Nobody" and the street-popular "Baba Fela".
Since then he has released "Fall for Me", a jam with frequent collaborator Yusuf Kan Bai (YKB). There is also "Wagwan" which is currently sweeping the Nigerian airwaves.
Laycon is currently teasing a new album titled #ShallWeBegin which is scheduled for release on the 30th of April, 2021. He recently released "Before She Spoke (The Presidential Address)". In the song, he brags about quadrupling the 30 million Naira he won on the show.
He talks of his Time Magazine article about Davido for the TIME100 Next 2021 List. Worthy accomplishments. We cannot wait to hear what this corny fella has in store for us. Here's to more wins đŸ·đŸ·đŸ·
