When you think about the stalwart players of lower-league soccer over the last decade, @TurboTobin13 has to be one of the first guys that comes to mind. He's played in the NASL and USL, and he's still holding it down and dominating in the air for @ForwardMSNFC.
Those headed clearances are one of the first things that pop on tape with Tobin. He's fantastic at tracking runners and repelling crosses, and that awareness also keys him up to put in important tackles.
Tobin's positional sense has aged like fine wine. He knows when to hedge towards the ball (see the block below), and his solidity allows teammates to bomb upfield with the knowledge that he'll react and stretch to defend out wide (as in the second clip).
Still, the leadership component may be Tobin's biggest value-add. He's captained nigh 40 matches for the 'Mingos these past few years, and there are very few dudes who have such an obvious connection with their team and community. There's a reason he's stuck around this long.
