Getting some q’s about why beer brands are not always available in max # stores at the time of launch - here’s how it works in K’taka:

Alcobev brands cannot supply directly to liquor stores. They can only supply to Karnataka State Beverages Corporation Ltd (KSBCL) depots 1/6

Retailers must then place orders and purchase from the depot - so, a lot of the decision making lies with the retailer & not the brand itself (so if you don’t see a brand you like on shelves, request the retailer to enquire/place an order) 2/6

There are several depots in Karnataka, with a majority in Bangalore. Alcobev brands have to ensure they are available in each depot if they want to cover the entire city - this is quite a task for smaller brands so please be patient. Here’s the @drinkgeist perspective 3/6

Our focus is on ensuring that end-customer exp. is as as possible which is why why have invested time & effort in developing a cold chain controlled entirely by Geist. Depots in K’taka are not refrigerated, and so we have brought in our own chillers 4/6

Refrigerated trucks leave the @drinkgeist factory. The products reach the depots and are stored there in our chillers till a retailer places an order and a delivery is made in to the store, where our products are given adequate refrigeration space 5/6

A completely new system that we have worked on with the support of the KSBCL depots and retail partners so that product quality is not compromised at any point. Our focus is to offer the best experience possible, so while that means a slower roll-out, we prioritise quality 6/6
