Sometimes, you're not satisfied with the prayers you just made because you're trying to be "clean" before God. You have questions & burdens in your heart, but you ignore them & carry on with your prayer routine. God is interested in your pains too, express yourself unashamed.

The pretense has to stop, the “forming perfect” thing has to stop. Stop hiding your pain from your lover, stop hiding it from your healer.

A lot of people no longer pray because they see it as a pointless task, they cannot ask questions, they cannot cry, they cannot rant, they just go, thank God and come back out.

Where did God ever tell us, “you have to be good before you talk to me”? How did we form this view of God? He says those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Where is your truth?

Drop this whole perfection thing and talk to your Father, He loves you that way. He loves the angry you, he loves the crying you, he loves the joyful you, he loves every part of you, & He’s really interested in hearing you.

I really hope today, that you say it the way it is in your heart, I hope you ask him questions, I hope you cry, I hope you dance before Him, I hope you know he just wants to hear you, I hope you know He’s not afraid of your questions... HE LOVES YOU.
