I do hope all these strenuous efforts from publishers like SpringerNature to deter authors from using RRS and immediate self-archiving of the accepted manuscript upon acceptance, result in a Streisand effect

It’s pretty obvious that some of the legacy paywall publishers really don’t want authors going this route. Which is perhaps exactly why authors should #Disruption #RealTransformation

Imagine if authors outside of Plan S / cOAlition S started using the RRS and immediate self-archiving? With a pact to all do it together, a whole discipline or community could eliminate the paywall. Just requires coordination / critical mass.

If the publishers start desk rejecting manuscripts just because they include the RRS language in submitted manuscripts, they won’t have anything to publish if we ALL include that language #SolidarityForChange #OpenAccess
