In a new filing, the DoJ has spotlighted at least 7 individuals it calls "uncharged coconspirators and witnesses" in the Oath Keepers conspiracy case. That group includes 4 unnamed individuals whom it alleges were part of the "stack" that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6
The photo depicts people surrounding Oath Keeper founder Stewart Rhodes (Person One) after rioters left the Capitol. Rhodes isn't charged. Also labeled are 2 people who were "w/ defendant" Joshua James, who rode to the Capitol in a golf cart & entered separately from the stack.
The filing — which suggests more people could be charged in the case — comes from a new govt brief opposing James' release from jail pending trial.

In his motion seeking bond, James argued he wasn't part of the stack & did not commit acts of violence https://twitter.com/kenbensinger/status/1379579657205391361?s=20
But the DoJ alleges that James was deeply involved in Oath Keeper communications, was held out as a leader of the group in DC under the code name "HYDRO AL State POC" (point of contact) and had multiple discussions about bringing weapons to the DC area in preparation for Jan. 6
"we have a shitload of QRF (quick reaction force) on standby with an arsenal" - James wrote on Dec. 31, for example.

On Jan. 1, James asked an Oath Keeper operational leader “Do we have a farm location for weapons?”in a Signal message.
Prosecutors also note James appears to have deleted a group thread from Signal, “DC OP Jan 6 21," which has been viewed on other defendants' phones

On Jan. 8, he messaged another group member: “We need to make sure that all signal comms about the op has been deleted & burned."
The filing also adds new color to the wild golf cart ride that James & co-defendant Roberto Minuta engaged in on Jan 6. According to prosecutors, they knew there was violence at the Capitol, but raced there anyway, a suggestion that James was "prepared to use violence"
"While Minuta speeds toward the Capitol, the defendant does not bail from the golf cart, but rather punches
the Capitol building address into his phone and audibly directs Minuta, aiding them in their endeavor to storm the Capitol building"
In sum, the govt argues, James shouldn't get bond b/c his efforts "demonstrate a continued dangerousness beyond just the circumstances of Jan 6, 2021." One threat, prosecutors say, is James potentially obstructing justice by interfering w/ uncharged coconspirators and witnesses
To date, 12 people have been indicted in this case. Including Rhodes, today's late night filing suggests as many as 19 could theoretically be charged (or may already be serving as cooperators in the investigation).
