I know I say Blades in the Dark a lot when I'm trying to convince people that there are other games out there. But I have a confession to make...

BitD is an extremely narrow game. It does one thing, and it does that one thing well. But it is terrible at doing anything else.

I think people really want a game that can do it all. Some people think double D can get it for them. And in a lot of ways it can. But when the resolution mechanics for one part of the system (combat) is far more complex than any other part, it isn't doing everything well.

Systems that have a more robust ability to do a lot of different things off the top of my head:

Gynesis (did I even spell this correctly??)
Trinity Continuum
Exalted
Modern AGE

I'm missing tons. Please use this thread to suggest more games I've clearly missed.
