What would you do if your mom was about to die soon and there’s only one way to avoid it?
A thread
My mom was 20 years old when I was born.
She loved me since the first time she saw me and life has made her prove it.
When I was little I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and ADHD imagine how hard it was for a 29 year old single mom.
For my mom it was having to work three times what she already worked, taking me to therapy between shifts, been exhausted all the time and never giving up.
Even though sometimes thinking about doing it.
But she never did, she never gave up on me.
I remember there where days the money wasn’t enough.
But as all mothers, she had the power to make those bad moments into good ones.
My mom changed those moments into adventures when the only thing we could afford was canned tuna.
We grew up, I was taller and she had dreams, things seemed getting better.
Those times stayed with us as our biggest love demonstration between us.
We even got canned tuna tattoos on our chest!
Time seemed better and better with the pass of the time, my little sister was born and I was getting prouder of my mom as she worked as nurse.
Until one night, our life changed completely.
My mom woke up covered in sweat, she was dizzy and crashing into everything.
Words can’t explain how is it to see your own mom like this.
The first time they told us what maybe it was stress, but still, they did studies on it.
One of his friends broke the news. It was a gigantic head tumor.
She wanted to keep the secret to protect me as she had done so many times before, but this time she could not shut up.
This time it was not bullying for my Asperger, nor was it lack of money that could be hidden behind cans of tuna and laughter.
This times she was scared, so she told me.
You’re never prepare for something like that, you know?. We grow up thinking that our mother is eternal and sometimes we forget that they are only fragile humans, like everyone else.
But I decided to see it as a chance, the life was giving me the opportunity to this time the one to give everything for her.
If I was the one who never gave up for her.
If I was the one who fought and did everything for her.
This time, it was my turn.
So we started to look for opinions, something that we could do to save her life.
We had finally succeeded, the operation was already scheduled but another mother of several children was even more serious, so my mother gave up her surgical shift.
Time passed and it got worse and now it wasn't so easy.
All the doctors told us that if I survived the operation, she would need 24-hour care, my mother was going to have a bad life forever.
Until one day we found a neurosurgeon who could do it without harming her and without charging a fee.
I always liked to think that there are angels among us, but this time I checked.
The problem now was the hospital and the time.
Because of the place where it is located, if it continues to grow there is a risk that its brain will simply collapse, or that its head will start to grow due to hydrocephalus.
I want to ask you something again, I know it's not a coincidence that you're reading this.
That's why I ask you, if it was your mom? What would you do for her?
Now I ask you to think that my mom is yours, just for a minute and that you help me as you'd help her.
the link says $500,000 but it’s $1,000,000 for 3 surgeries (mexican pesos)
