5 Awful Entrepreneurship Clichés

[Time for a thread]
1. Manifesting

This is a fine concept if you put in the work.

Unfortunately, most people who are "manifesting" are actually procrastinating.

Positive thoughts alone do nothing.

You have to combine them with action.
2. Following Your Passion

Maybe 1/100 people succeed by following their passion.

For the rest of us, it's better to find the intersection of interest and profit.

Interest keeps you, well, interested.

Profit gets you paid (passion usually doesn't).
3. Promoting Extremely Hard Work

Working hard is a good thing.

Most people are lazy and need to work more.

But, people take this concept way too far.

16-hour workdays are not helpful for 99% of entrepreneurs.
4. Promoting Sacrificing Your Health

In that same vein, people often promote poor health habits.

Sleepless nights, eating takeout for every meal, etc.

Again, not necessary, and often destructive.
5. Faking It Til You Make It

The better way to write this is:

"Be confident until you're competent"

As currently written, it can be taken as an endorsement of pretending you're more competent than you are, which rarely works out in the business world.
Alright, that's all of them.
