ok so i dont hate oumasai, in fact i ship it. im a multishipper so amasai, saiouma, saimatsu, etc is all valid to me. i just despise to people who go out of their way to talk about it ALL. THE. TIME. ive gotten used to this the past year but its uncomfortable?

i dont like people who over exaggerate it beacuse their relationship isnt to that peak of "romantic". i see people whos ship this who seem to think it about it in the complete opposite way they interacted in the game, which is how i evaluate relationships.

but he never hated him. he did get annoyed sometimes, and he may have took it to heart because he seems to have a sad past, and it is proven that he may be an orphan. he was the one who planned his own death he could have avoided it, but i DONT think this statement is true.

so these are just the post popular statements ive seen. i wouldnt go headcanon-ing anything having to do with kokichi and saihara like this. i see many shippers not looking into their convos, but only their love hotel event (merely a fantasy) and their free time events

im not saying their free time events were useless to progressing their friendship and understanding it. i do think how kokichi tried to cut himself to get saihara's attention. "i stole your heart, so now im satisfied!". this could just be another lie and a game to trick saihara

BUT, it also can also be seen as kokichi flirting with him. maybe he did it in a romantic way? i dont know. but note this was when they JUST met and had a real convo. i do find it adorable when shuichi gave into kokichi's 100 rounds of rock paper scissors, without even stopping.

to me, it proves he truly took the time and patience to play his game. i see him very intrigued in kokichi, and takes the time with him to ask questions and know more about him. i see this as a way of them progressing their friendship

kinda wanted to talk about "shumai", the nickname kokichi made for him. it was made when him and kaito were arguing, where kaito called maki "maki roll" and so he called shuichi "shumai" back to him, because he agrees with him while kaito on the other hand, agrees with maki.

i dont know if he was just playing or not and trying to find a come back, but that nick name kind of sounds like something that would have taken some time to think of. could he have been thinking of shuichi? it would be random if he just made it up on the spot..
