here’s a theory why its hard for btob to hit it big in the intl market. they’re very talented, they look super good, and their personalities are 💯. i think its smth to do with their music. they bank on emotions, good musicality and delivering good messages. but the language gap—
— does not permit all of them across. people are more bound to stan performance based groups bc, well they SEE it and there’s no barrier to that. another factor is also how all groups bank on yt guestings w/ eng subs and popular trends. they focus on korean tv and intl fans —
find it hard to access contents from them. theres a LOT, but not that accessible. from people i know there has to be a really memorable trigger for them to search the group. but tbh after that, theres no going back. the few who search for their vids almost immediately become fans
i wasnt a kpop fan before BTOB, but all it took me were 3 songs with han/rom/eng edits— missing you, pray, and the wow perf stage, and a few 5 min cuts of their var show appearances and i immediately got hooked. —
— we only need a larger audience and a few high interaction videos. they are easy to love, people just need to know them. AND I HOPE KINGD0M GIVES THEM THAT OPPORTUNITY
