Why all the fuss about “no code” development?

How can it help startups launch cheaper and faster? And what are its limits?

A thread with a quick primer, resources, and pointers to get you as excited about this as I am!
I’m still learning, but I’m thrilled about anything that lowers the barriers to women to building and launching tech companies.

Here are some no code use cases:
Validate your idea by building simple, limited functionality web and mobile apps for user testing and feedback
Iterate faster and develop rapid prototypes based on early customer feedback
Create simple concept apps for alpha testing and to build excitement among early adopters
Save time and money and gain flexibility and freedom to shift and pivot as you prove the business model
Of course, nothing’s perfect.

No code is relatively new, and there are limitations:
If you use low code in the early stages you may need to completely redevelop your app if you need more flexibility over time.
Data migration and vulnerability are potentially issues over time and with complexity.
If you want to develop product concepts or prototypes with limited functionality, low code is definitely worth considering.
Advanced products with more complex algorithms aren’t impossible, but they come with a lot of limitations.

That may not matter if you’re alpha testing.

At the very least, you will be able to launch the first few versions of your app idea for validation and early user testing.
Not be clear, no code isn’t necessarily a stop gap. Successful companies are being built on no code.

The bar for launching a software product has never been lower - and it will only keep getting easier.
