Few things on the Amazon vote:

1) When was the last time (ever?) that the Times had a live vote counter on a union election?

3) This was always a very tough campaign. It would be a far greater surprise for the union to win this election than for it to lose.

4) There will be a lot more organizing at Amazon going forward.

5) Anti-union tactics are very sophisticated and the employer has tons of power

6) Voting "yes" for a union in these circumstances is actually a very brave act.

7) When the UAW organized auto, the vast majority of workers wanted nothing to do with it until they had already won. Too scared to lose their jobs.
