You are an unbelievable liar, Melissa.

Randy Rinaldo was asking for "balanced" reporting on restaurant closures in @BobKronbauer's piece. I pointed out that it was an op-ed; it didn't have to be balanced.

I never said discrimination was acceptable under the guise of "opinion". https://twitter.com/MelissaDeGenova/status/1380275821504393216
Repeatedly, I asked you to point out the ethnic slur, the stereotype, the discrimination, the racism that you accused Bob of using in his piece.

Your response was to invoke the internment of Italians without explaining how that relates to Bob's piece. https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/opinion/federico-fuoco-gusto-restaurant-covid-vancouver-3608528
Bob juxtaposed Gusto restaurant's "a taste of Italy" slogan and Italy's COVID stats.

I said, it was insensitive, yes.
Discriminatory? No, I don't think so.
Invoking historical injustices? No, I don't think so. https://twitter.com/MelissaDeGenova/status/1380063817988669442?s=20
Here's the kicker, @MelissaDeGenova:

You compared the colonization of Indigenous peoples and anti-Asian hate crimes to a passage from Bob's piece (see below).

I'll let Twitter decide if your comparison was fair, insensitive, stupid, or downright offensive.
Now, @MelissaDeGenova and @RanRinBC have teamed up to defend ignorance in the past: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/vancouver-city-councillor-trending-and-not-in-a-good-way-after-twitter-war/article30024087/?cmpid=rss1

These are tweets from Randy that Melissa claims were "misinterpreted".

They seem CRYSTAL CLEAR to me, Melissa.
The reality is that @MelissaDeGenova sets an awful example for Millennials interested in media and politics.

This entire incident is not a "misunderstanding", it's indicative of Melissa's character.

Frankly, she is unfit for any public office on the basis of merit and morals.
