In august, if I pass my final modules and placement I will be qualified. I have decided to take the offer to work at the ward I have returned to since first year. A hospital and team that have looked after me from day one.
To go from a student nurse to a qualified nurse is a huge step and I need a team that will support me and ultimately a job that I love and I know that this is the right decision.
Many people bang on about how you need acute experience first but nursing is an individual journey and for me, acute is not what I want to go down. I have always said “I don’t want to fix people, I want to help them live with their conditions”.
I am so so proud to have been offered this position and I cannot wait to be nurse May!! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ‘©â€âš•ïž" title="Woman health worker" aria-label="Emoji: Woman health worker">

I am sick of hearing “they’re so desperate for nurses they will take anyone”, each and every one of us have worked our asses to the bone and we have earned our positions.
I am so proud to say that I am taking a job where I am genuinely thought quite highly of, where they make me feel so comfortable and they see my potential more than I do!

August I’m coming for you https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ·" title="Weinglas" aria-label="Emoji: Weinglas">
