1/4 Seasonality is amazing natural phenomenon! 4 regions of the United States that follow the same curve based mainly on latitude. #1 is the most southern states where it's mainly over for now, notice the small bump last summer (as predicted by Hope-Simpson for north tropical)
2/4 Now the east-central states (in terms of latitude), we can see that it's over for them too and notice the little bump in the summer last year (smaller than the bump for southern states)
3/4 For the northern central states it seems to be over too, but the exception is Michigan and maybe this one should be with north east states, but what is amazing is that the neighboring province in Canada, Ontario has the same recent trending up since beginning of March
4/4 N-E states. A puzzle right now because they are all under stringent lockdowns, but they are trending up. I'm sure seasonality can explain this too because in past years Ontario had some secondary influenza surges in April. Good news is that it looks like it's going down
