I’ll never understand the way y’all let foreign people or 1st/2nd gens take credit for Black American culture. State your contributions but how do you come and take credit for a culture that was already established and existing hundreds of years before you arrived?

It’s the blatant lack of respect for me. And we just allow it, and even enable it smh we have been so conditioned to feel like we aren’t worthy of taking credit for our own shit no matter how much greatness we constantly produce & no matter how much we continue to be innovators
