1/ Mostly all of the product have either a freemium model or free trial plans for their end-users so that they can try and test the product out. But the major problem here is converting them to become paid user, here I'll list down few ways which will help you to convert better
2/ a. Product demos one on one - Having product guides like documentation, videos or demos or library increases your chances of converting the freemium users better because this helps to create a sense of trust between them & the product
3/ but taking this to the next level is by doing one on one calls with these users, you can qualify the users based on some metrics like usage of power users and then only take to them and you understand why they love your product and what is stopping them from buying
4/ and you will be surprised to see the pattern emerging and thus you can work upon that to increase your conversion rate.
5/ b. Community - You can build a community around your product and then create a platform for everyone to engage and grow and this will help you to convert free users as this creates trust by seeing the results and interactions from the paid users gives the freemium users
6/ reason to believe in the product. You can take this approach to next level by creating a premium community with priority support and premium content that really adds value to the users thus free users will be motivated to convert.
7/ c. Set product limitation - You can set features or quantity limitation for the freemium users. This has to be carefully iterated and work upon as you don't want to limit the users but rather encourage product upgrade as their processes or businesses scale. Thus you can work
8/ on feature limits and encourage users to upgrades as they grow their business because this will give them motivation to freely use the complete product and scale as they themselves scale.
9/ d. FOMO - by creating urgency and FOMO you will increase your conversions to paid users but this can be refined by lead/user scoring you can target only the most engaged users or other metrics that are important to you. Thus creating urgency for this set of users will increase
10/ your conversions by adding discounts and offers to your plans for a limited time only.
11/ e. Onboarding - This is the most crucial part to convert more, you can nurture your free users by scoring them or taking them through the funnel or tracking their product usage. You can use emails or tutorials or product updates or notifications or gamification to optimize
12/ Thus optimizing your onboarding process and targeting the free users accordingly will yield great outcomes.
