I’m in my emotions again (was I ever not?). Of ALL THE PEOPLE he could have told about his fears, he confided in Sylvie. He WANTED to lean on her & needed her encouragement. THAT IS SO HUGE.

He’s extremely private. Always has been. Letting anyone in is a sign of respect & trust.

Let’s compare that to S7 when he was dealing with almost being shot in the head on a scary call. She reached out, he lied by saying he was fine, & lashed out at the Chaplain when he found out Sylvie sent him. But then FINALLY (because of Sylvie’s encouragement) confided in Boden.

That was the last time he was as upset as he was at the end of 9x11 . The last time he questioned why he was still around and what exactly he was doing with his life.

The growth in his regard for her and their relationship is STUNNING.

Not that long ago he was intentionally shutting her out, but now...HE IS SEEKING HER OUT. Her opinions and support are invaluable to him now!

I’m EMOTIONAL. I love Brettsey so much & all this growth is why! They’re so good for each other! I can’t imagine the show not exploring this relationship further.

They’re writing it with purpose and, while I haven’t always loved the pacing, I am SO VERY HAPPY with their journey.
