🧵A former TV host of an Irish fashion program, Xposé, has been taking to Instagram, vocally speaking against covid vaccines to nearly 20,000 followers.

Here are some important takeaways.
Vaccine hesitancy is a spectrum and people can have legitimate concerns with regards to public health.

But with that comes misinformation on one side of that spectrum - and that can have real impacts.
According to this research, although prominent figures only made up 1/5th of their sampling, the misinformation accounted for nearly 70% of the engagement.

This is known as top-down misinfo. Unsurprisingly, those with significant followings have the ability to amplify misinfo.
So, going into just some of the content she has published. We've seen much of this misinformation previously - and it shows how although falsehoods are debunked, they can continuously be reshared.
