More than wit, foresight and intelligence, #SisyphusTheMyth's loop ended when the main characters started accepting their regrets and confronting their past. The ending might be troublesome for many but logically it is how it should end.

[SPOILERS!]

[A THREAD]
1. Han Tae Sul's fatal flaw was to choose Seo Hae over the world. The first season's dimension showed that for Tae Sul to overcome his selfishness, Seo Hae had to constantly remind him of what's more important - to stop the other dimensions and enforce the one they are in.
1.2 Tae Sul finally overcame his selfishness and his ignorance of the importance of other people. All his friends, his brother, and Sigma emphasize how Tae Sul has been only thinking of himself while not seeing how his actions affect others, how he lacked gratitude.
1.3 Seo Hae makes Tae Sul realize this is by saying that the post-war world is a lot worse because more than losing the one you love, you lose everyone important to you. Tae Sul building a bunker for the whole family showed that he did expand his compassion to more than Seo Hae.
1.4 Tae Sul finally overcomes that flaw which stops the loop. Which leads to the next question, did Seo Hae and Tae Sul end up together?

The question isn't if it ended that way, rather "when" and "which" dimensions did they end up together.
2. The dimension the first season refers to the first episode - Tae Sul having hallucinations about his brother. The pills help him stop having hallucinations. But in the last episode, he doesn't take the pills but relishes on the "illusion" of Seo Hae.
2.1 If Seo Hae did make it alive, that is totally impossible... because the older Seo Hae and the younger Seo Hae could not co-exist in a world where the war doesn't occur and the post-war dimensions do not exist.

Seo Hae was against making the loop continue.
2.2 It is also unlikely that Seo Hae is alive because that would mean that her post-war world existed too, the existence of her old self was predicated on the existence of other beings from the post-war world too!
2.3 But most importantly, the last episode showed Tae Sul coming to terms that he would have to enjoy good memories and thoughts of people who made his life than repress them and live in a reality, a dimension rather where they are non-existent.

But what about Sigma?
3. In the end, we see Seo Gil-Bok sketching for a living. It seems he felt touched by the kindness of Seo Hae's father. We can also infer that he did learn what goodness is, his smile too seemed genuine.

But is the end... troublesome?
3.1 No, it isn't. It is logical for it to be that way. Gil-bok's hatred for Tae-Sul will never be extinguished because of the trauma their childhood interaction caused him. Tae Sul too was partly responsible for him being almost killed in the season's dimension.

Why the notes?
3.2 It is logical because
1) They are open to Season 2 because of the international success
2) Open-endings are fun!
3) Gil-bok is smart, he was observant of what was happening and because he was still and will be obsessed with Tae Sul.

AND

4) Proof all that shit happened
3. What about the Asia Mart people? [The guys are cute like legit like the Control Bureau people, they're like IDOLS! Lol]

Anyways, yes they vanished because the current dimension cuts the loop.

Hyeong-Do plays a big role too because....
3.1 He comes term with his dark past, his daughter too! They forgive each other and refuse to intervene in the past. When they do this, the young Bingbing interferes and then young Hyeong-Do comes realizes how shitty he is.

Old Bingbing stopping the father also stops the loop
4. But lastly, Eddy entered one of the dimension where they successfully kill Sigma. Of course, someone would have to fuck up everything. But it is logical, because of Gil-bok was out of the picture then someone must replace him. The loop changed when Eddy entered Sigma's circle.
4.1 In the former loops, it did not seem Eddy entered the circle because Seo-jin acted like before - using him for an end, until she invites him in because 'there's no harm'. But that also interferes with the loop. There's no 'Eddy' from the future in the season's dimension.
4.2 Eddy was the next Sigma or can rule with Sigma in the next dimension. This is apparent because Eddy unconsciously said the same lines Sigma would use against Tae Sul in the last episode. Like Sigma, Eddy too envied Tae Sul.

But Tae Sul's character change stops this.
5. There's a possibility that a minor loop was still occurring just for the earth to continue existing. Why? Because for the outcome of the last episode to occur, Tae Sul in one dimension would have to travel to-and-fro to plan and stop Sigma and himself too.

OTHER POINTS>>
6. Possibly, when the "criminal" politicians [so funny how this was a critique of many politicians] come back to Seoul after their trip. They would be totally clueless what to do next. Why? Because they played by the book of loops.

Sisyphus also reflects on..
7. South Korea's fears of a civil war and annihilation. Interesting, 60 Days [Designated Survivor Korea] reflects on this too. But both emphasize that the strongest threat South Koreans would have to face is always within not outside.

Sisyphus also shows a cultural change...
8. While Dark, Stranger Things and Umbrella Academy are recent cultural artifacts that show the west reflecting on time travel, Sisyphus is an important piece because it signals Korea is culturally thinking and dreaming of time travel and how local affairs affect world affairs.
9. I think it's a bit unclear whether the world is left to ashes or it's only the Korean peninsula. Why? Because in one episode, Seo-Hae says it's only the Korean peninsula but in another episode, Sigma or someone else said China and USA also participated, the world was ashes.
9. [continued] More than a loophole or unclarified outcome, I think it also shows how Koreans have been trying to reflect beyond their country's and the world's future as the country becomes more powerful through cultural export.

Anw, BTS was mentioned!
10. Lastly, this show because it adds an interpretation to the myth. Perhaps, Sisyphus could stop rolling the boulder... if he outwits the gods or what. Tae Sul does this by thinking beyond but also losing everything. Sisyphus will lose that meaningful meaningless labor.

END
LAST:

Sisyphus criticizes meritocracy and class structure. In the first episode, Sun says people who are rich with more expensive tickets get ahead even if the time for departure is the same with the poor people who took regular tickets.

Just like the Advance Team?

(1/3)
Sisyphus also reflects on immigration. While not apparent, the people from the future are called 'immigrants' and some of them have super powers and deformed bodies [because of radiation]. But it's also these immigrants - Asia Mart and Seo Hae who save Korea.

(2/3)
'Misogamist' - Anti-marriage [an old institution we all are expected to follow]. The loop continues because it follows order. Seo Hae's protest against marriage changes the loop but also Hyeong-gi's refusal to kill the Control Bureau's head. Sisyphus questions 'order'.
