Shattered.
My college friend who lives in Mumbai lost his father. He was in his mid-50s and he passed away in his residence. My friend, forced him not to get inoculated from the Covid vaccine.

I had chat with him a few days back and this thing about vaccination came up. He strictly denied that no one from his family will get vaccinated and he had anyways convinced his father not to get vaccinated.

While chatting, he shared some articles of print medias (y'all are very much familiar with). The article mentioned that many people in India have lost their lives because of the vaccine. The article fear mongered about the vaccination to plant a sense of doubt in people.

I requested him to not believe in such biased propaganda that is used to. demean our scientists and their efforts, but he didn't pay any heed. Since the age bar for vaccination was open for people over 45 years of age, his father should had taken the vaccine. But he refused.

Today, his father passed away and when his body was sent for the checkup, he was found to be positive. And now, all his family members have tested positive for Covid. They couldn't even take part in the last rituals of the deceased.

Now he's regretting not letting his father getting vaccinated.
Having said that, these biased media channels and websites have done a great disservice to the nation by fear-mongering people about our vaccine.

Please...please...please do get vaccinated and motivate others to get inoculated according to the age groups opened for it. Don't fall for false propaganda. A family has lost its bread earner and this is not only one, but there are also many people doing the same.

Don't let the efforts of our health workers and scientists go in vain. Trust the vaccine. This is all that we can do as responsible citizens and cooperate with the govt, be it the state or the central govt. Get vaccinated and motivate others. Please
