But: Hospitalizations are rising on the South Side
Between Feb. 27 and March 27, 602 Chicagoans were hospitalized with COVID-19.

37% are older than 65.

They have been eligible for the vaccine since JANUARY 25.
41% of those hospitalized are Black Chicagoans between the ages of 18-44.

Only 7% of Black Chicagoans age 18-29 have gotten the first dose of the vaccine.
Only 16% of Black Chicagoans age 30-44 have gotten the first dose of the vaccine.
Vaccine supply set to be sent to Chicago will *decrease* next week because a drop in the supply of the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine because of manufacturing errors.

This week, Chicago got 39,900 doses of J&J.
Next week, Chicago will get 4,800 doses of J&J.
