Well, I might as well do it. I'm making a thread now for all of the screenshots on why Leon is, at best, ignorant, or at worst, actively harmful to everyone around him as a Champion. Feel free to mute this thread because it's gonna be long and full of screenshots.

I'm up to 28 pics & I've only watched scenes with Sonia in it re:Leon...So let's do a brief before we get into it. Leon doesn't notice what kind of pressure he's putting on ppl close to him, especially Hop. He only shows to care if it means he gets an 'exciting battle to dominate

Let's start with this. Most people hand wave this off, which it could be given the next IMMEDIATE scene that happens, attached. Leon basically bosses her around, & she expresses displeasure in that attitude. She waves this off as "just Leon being Leon" but that means this IS him.

Sonia is consistently shown to notice Hop's struggles with more accuracy & honesty than Leon, who has to ask the player about it. She understands personally how it feels to stand in his shadow. Knowing how "Leon raised Hop", this means she is shown to be worried for Hop.

"Leon worries about him too", granted, he never talks to Hop which would mean the world to him. Indicated by the last scene of the story where it's pointed out that even saying "I approve of what you're doing" is a milestone of praise. Meaning... its not the default? W h a t

On the same note of "Leon raised Hop", Hop's understanding of "what do you do when someone is upset" really speaks volumes when you consider Leon and Hop's lack of communication when Hop was struggling through his Gym challenge- AND after. He probably did 'raise Hop'... Poor kid

The previous tweet might have other SwSh easter eggs regarding Hop's suffering, but for now, let's start the whole rival thing here until I can locate more screenshots. Leon consistently shows his interest lies solely on having great battle and personally staying in the spotlight
