You know what, let's watch some Celtics/Knicks
Really like the energy and defense from Robert Williams. Celtics switch the P&R, puts Tatum on Randle. Williams kicks him out of the matchup, tries to steal the pass, recovers and blocks the pull-up. Bonus points to Smart for the save.
RJ Barrett continues to grow. Gets the pass from Randle in transition, sees Brown in front but also sees the gap middle. Attacks left, initiates the contact and finishes through it. Big step for him.
Julius Randle is *tough* to deal with in the post. Can face up, can back you down, going to initiate contact.
Great defense from the Celtics here. Pistol action for Bullock with a re-screen. Celtics switch and then Thompson is there on the catch. Randle cuts on the weakside and good help from Smart to take him. Get a steal and Tatum pushes the other way.
You see the off-ball movement from Boston increasing and here is the payoff. Tatum in P&R, Knicks switch, drive and great cut from Jaylen Brown. Next clip Smart comes off, Pritchard tries to clear space and screens down for Brown opens up a 3 for him.
Julius Randle vs. Grant Williams was kind of fun. First time down Randle physical, backs him down, gets a couple bumps, spins and finishes. Tough bucket. Next time down Randle hits him, Williams takes it. That's a setup. On the second bump, Williams takes a charge.
The improvement of Jaylen Brown, continues to take the leap. No hesitation here, comes off the screen from Thompson and goes right into a pullup from 3. Really developing into a three level scorer.
Immanuel Quickley. Sheesh.
Romeo Langford is at that point where you can see the potential, you can see what he could be. You can also see the things that might keep him out of the lineup. If he can get the time I think he can develop and grow.
Good stuff from Obi Toppin here. Kicks Quickley out of the post vs. Williams. Watch him *sprint* hard in transition, wanted this one (hand up at half court) and finishes the lob.
Would love to see Toppin *not* just be a spacer/post up guy. Think he has more in his skill set. It might just be a roster deal at this point. I think if the Knicks had a threat who could take teams out of a drop in P&R consistently he would look *much* different.
This feels like the last piece for Jayson Tatumm consistent driving and finishing. Quick decisions are always best for him.
*sweet typo* *shrugs*
Knicks were locked in on Tatum, good defense here. Switch the handoff between Smart and Tatum. On the drive, look at the help. Randle stunts, Gibson in front to help, Bullock trailing and is there on the spin.
Great read from Tatum here. Gets the handoff and sees Bullock go under. Stops and goes back the other way with Randle back. No hesitation to his pullup. Bonus points to Williams for flipping his screen.
This is *strong* defense from the Knicks. Tatum about to come off a stagger, Bullock top locks and denies. Tatum backcuts and comes off Thompson, great help from Noel to stunt on the catch and recover. Tatum ISO's, great help from Randle to be there on the spin and get the steal.
This is a *bucket* from D-Rose. Comes off in P&R, Williams in a drop. Attacks the space and goes right into Williams body before going up and finishing. That's a vet move.
Yeah, this if Romeo Langford can bring *this* to the Celtics that would be key. Pritchard comes off P&R with an empty side. Nail help as Pritchard comes off to protect against the roll. Quick kick to Langford who hits the 3.
