We are concerned these Behaviour Hubs are not aware of legislation around SEND discrimination since some of the 'behaviours' are in fact SEND traits. https://twitter.com/LauraFMcConnell/status/1380126304872378369

Senior leadership teams and @GavinWilliamson should consider this (Government's own) document regarding the Equality Act 2010 and schools https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/315587/Equality_Act_Advice_Final.pdf
Reasonable adjustments for a pupil having (or suspected of having) an executive function issue for example might well be NOT being punished for forgetting homework.
It's unlikely any pupil would ever be able to focus 100% all the time, but certainly no pupil diagnosed or on the pathway for a neurodivergent condition such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia should be penalised for losing focus.
If those students do lose focus, they are likely not receiving appropriate teaching for their SEND needs. Inclusion does not mean one size fits all.
Quality First teaching means inclusive teaching for ALL pupils, differentiated for individual need.

Here's an example of disability discrimination from the government's own website https://www.gov.uk/rights-disabled-person/education-rights
Looks remarkably similar to the 'small things' example cited in the original video of a pupil not focusing 100% of the time.
